Freeance Mobile User Community

SanGIS - CA

SanGIS, one of the highest profile GIS groups in the United States selected Freeance Mobile to allow SanDiego County/City employees to access GIS maps on a standard Blackberry Smartphones. Field workers will be able to view and search GIS maps, read databases and populate custom forms. Future possible plans include letting the public access these Freeance Applications.

Westmoreland County PA

The County coroner is using Freeance mobile out in the field to map crime locations. Using Freeance mobile the coroner databases records with GPS locations at the crime scene using the Blackberry Smartphone. Freeance Mobile also displays County maps on employee's BlackBerrys allowing investigatiors to lookup property owners, aerial photography, political boundaries and other geographic layers.

Garfield Township, Grand Traverse, Michigan Schools

Township Planning Department and School District use Freeance Mobile for the National Safe Route 2 School program. Using standard BlackBerrys running Freeance Mobile, school employees, parents and kids will be mapping and databasing walking routes to their school. Freeance Mobile automatically publishes logged map points and notes form the Blackberry to a mapping Web site for referencing.

Monroe County NY

The County IT group purchased Freeance mobile so they could have the ability to have "live" GIS and capture new map features on their BlackBerry handheld devices. There is also interest in using Freeance mobile out at the airport where GPS logging with a cell phone can help during hazardous spills, locating valves and mapping spill locations.

Whitfield County GA

Code enforcement in the building and zoning department is currently using Freeance Mobile for all site visits in order to GPS erosion control sites and code violators.
