Senior Software Developer

As a senior software developer at TDC Group Inc, you will help design, develop, and implement the code for our Freeance software solutions.

You’ll be working in a challenging technical environment with other smart, creative people. You will be responsible for contributing major design insights, defining requirements, preparing specifications and coding various Web and mobile applications. You will also aid in making improvements to existing products, creating customer proof-of-concepts and providing advanced technical support to customers as needed.

We have cutting edge development initiatives underway in the areas of mobile computing, GPS and the Web. You’ll work on one of these initiatives right from the start. Because of the customer environments in which our software is and will be installed, we would like to learn about your experience with various technologies including those listed below.

Qualifications

• Incredible coding skills. Your friends and coworkers describe your programming ability as way above average, as demonstrated by a continuous string of successful projects.
• Technical curiosity ? eagerness to learn about new technologies and how to apply them to the development of practical, well-designed software products.
• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 7 to 10 years previous programming experience of any kind, including personal and school projects.

Tell Us About Your Technical Experience In Any of the Following:

• Java, JavaScript, PHP, HTML/XML, UNIX/Linux and other programming languages
• Programming in J2ME on mobile platforms such as BlackBerry and Microsoft Mobile.
• Development of applications interfacing withrelational databases
• Administration and use of relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle, open source
• Web server configuration using Windows Server and Unix/Linux (Red Hat Linux preferred)
• Operating system securityand user permissions
• Understanding of networks including firewalls, DNS, web services
• Global Positioning System (GPS)
• Any area not listed here
